Is the rent tracker really free?+
Yes. The Excel workbook is free to download, needs no account, and has no macros or locked sheets.
Does the template upload tenant data anywhere?+
No. It is an ordinary .xlsx file. The information you enter stays in the copy saved on your computer unless you choose to share it.
What does the workbook calculate?+
It totals rent due, amount collected, outstanding balances, collection rate, overdue entries, and active tenants. Each ledger row also calculates payment status and days late.
Can I use it outside India?+
Yes. The example amounts use Indian rupees, but you can change the Excel number format to another currency without changing the formulas.
